What information does the STAG Website gather?

Does STAG sell or give my information to non-Stag companies?

No. We do not sell or disclose individually identifiable information obtained online about our visitors to anyone outside of the CDC and it's associated brands. The only exceptions to this rule are the following:

  • If you provide individually identifiable information at an event Stag sponsors with another company, or if you register on a co-sponsored Web site, you may be providing the individually identifiable information to the co-sponsor. Yes. Our site contains links to other Web sites. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other sites.

How does Stag protect my personal information?

We are committed to protecting the information you give us, so we implement the appropriate safeguards to do so. Your online access is restricted by encrypted passwords preventing unauthorized access from online users. Within Stag, your information is stored in password-protected, limited-access servers.
All Stag servers reside behind a corporate firewall that maintains tight controls on any access to the system from both our internal network and the Internet. Stag uses Secure Seal to transmit sensitive information such as credit card numbers. Secure Seal is a transport level technology for authentication and data encryption between a Web server and a Web browser.
Security audits are carried out at intervals for compliance with the most stringent security standards.

Can an Authorised Customer delete or deactivate Identifiable Information collected by the Site?

Authorised Customers may request to have their Identifiable Information deleted or deactivated from the Site's database by contacting us. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor's entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?

We will let our Visitors and Authorised Customers know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site.
